Sketchcetera Designs LLC was an online retail business I had started in October of 2024. My company sold products that included apparel, accessories, drinkware, stationery items, and crochet patterns with designs created by me. The production of these products were done through a print-on-demand company called Printful Inc., so all products, except for the crochet patterns, were ordered and printed through Printful, and also delivered through them as well.
As the business owner and the only member of my company, my duties included developing the brand identity, creating the website through Wix.com, creating social media content to engage new potential customers, and keeping track of orders and expenses through Quickbooks for bookkeeping purposes.
Before I started developing the website to get the business launched, I worked on creating the business name and brand identity. I wanted to create something that meant something to me, so using my initials "etc", I came up with a name that was a play on words for my initials being etcetera, and also connected back to the business since any design or artwork begins with a sketch. Once the business name was finalized, I created a brand identity around my concept and built out assets to be used across all platforms my brand would be showcased.
Once the brand identity was developed, I created a website platform for my online retail store through wix.com. Above is a video walkthrough of the site showcasing the winter and holiday products that were available at the end of the year.
