I was commissioned by a relative of mine to create a brand identity for their event and party venue location that opened back in 2023. They wanted to emphasize the idea that when you walked into their venue space, you felt a familial atmosphere especially since it is a family business. In order to appeal to this value of family, we had brainstormed and finalized their business name, Rustic Roots. The final name is not only a play on words for one of their favorite bands, but also links to the idea of familial bonds through tree roots. From here, I worked with them on some ideas for a logo, and once the design was approved, I provided a color palette and some guidelines for them to follow on other materials they would be creating in the future for their business.

After the logo and brand were established, I also helped to create a template for a menu that they could edit through powerpoint, but still included the brand elements to make sure it stayed consistent with the brand identity; and I created a set of t-shirts for the staff and employees to wear during their events and open hours. The tree graphic on the back of the two options shown below included a sentimental representation of an owl and hummingbird which are symbolic of two relative that have passed.​​​​​​​
